Try to understand why someone took your place before taking yours
When my land was first sold, I was young and impressionable. I was not aware of the global warming and of manmade CO2 emissions. I only knew that the property on which I was living was being called “the land.” When I realized that the earth was not my own, that somebody else had taken it from me and that I was on the wrong side of history, I became aware of the serious environmental problems that had been caused by the mining and development of the land. When I got older, I realized that it was my own fault that the earth was not mine. If the land was not mine, then the people who cleared it should have gone to prison, not the other way around. This happened because they were trying to develop the land out of necessity. Nobody should have been able to take this land away from someone else without their consent. The land should have been theirs to use and manage as they saw fit. If you want to protect the environment and your own interests, then do not take so much land from people without their consent. You are making a claim for the earth – not the land itself. If you do not want the earth to belong to you, then clear the land and see what happens.
Go and study again – maybe more than once
Growing up, I always thought that I was a great climber and had a good chance to reach the top of the world. When I was in my 20s, I started to think about the environment and how we were all connected. It was then that I realized that I was in fact very close to the ground. It was while I was in my 30s that I realized that the environment was my biggest asset. When I got home, I set up an office in the garage where I keep all my things, and started to look at my environment with new eyes. I realized that the more I study, the better I could understand what was happening and how to protect it. It was also at this time that I realized that nature has a plan and that it does not give a sudden push that tears everything in pieces. This meant that I had to be much more patient and wait for the right time and opportunity to strike. If we do not wait, nature will take her time. The only way to see what is happening and defend our lands is to be there for the happening. This is what my father and I are trying to do. If we do not do anything, nature will do everything she can to defend her turf. The lease is the most valuable thing in this world. If we let nature have it, then where will our future life be? Where will our children’s children’s children be? Where will our culture be? If we do not take action, nature will take action. If we do nothing, she will wait for the right time to strike. Wild nature is unpredictable, wild nature is bold. If we do nothing, she will wait for the right time to strike. The only way to see what is happening and defend our lands is to be there for the happening. This is what my father and I are trying to do. If we do not do anything, nature will do everything she can to defend her turf.
The earth is a big, beautiful, and whole planet with a lot of potential. The only way to protect it is to protect yourself. The only way to protect the environment is to take action. The only way to protect your future children is to be there for the happening.
